As part of Hampshire County Council’s programme to make Hampshire’s roads more resilient to the effects of extreme weather and heavy traffic, HCC will be undertaking Proactive Patching works at various locations on, Old Odiham Road, Shalden.

The works are programmed to start at Old Odiham Road on Tues. 6 February for 4 days, (8am to 4pm). Due to the nature of the work and for safety reasons, it is necessary to carry the work out under a road closure with a signed diversion route in place. The road will be reopened outside each working shift.

HCC advises that whilst there is an allowance within the time periods shown above for delays, there may be times when they must postpone works at very short notice; based on the latest weather forecasts, this can occur just prior to works commencing. HCC will always look to provide up to date information wherever they can, but sometimes these last-minute decisions can be difficult to relay to the travelling public in a timely manner. When HCC can, any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits.
